This Christmas holiday break, i’ve had my friend of 16 years visiting me here in San Francisco. We’ve been exploring the city together a lot, finding restaurants, bars, café’s and really trying to find all the cool things that this city has to offer.
I’m also very thankful to all my friends here for coming out and hanging out with us and for giving us great tips of places to check out too. One great memorable place we went to was a bar/restaurant that specializes in amazing beers. we tried a number of great beers, including a beer from Dunedin in New Zealand, which was a totally random find. Most of the beers were very strong at around the 10% alc mark. Some of them very very expensive at $80US for a single small bottle. But yeah. was awesome.
We’ve also walked on the golden gate bridge, gone to see Avatar again, eaten some great mexican, chinese, cuban, italian, japanese, and american foods. And had lots of awesome coffee at Sight Glass, and Blue Bottle.
Had some great drinking sessions with some awesome people, including my good friend Sebastiaan de With, and his super nice girlfriend Myra. Some of my friends from Apple, Wil from Delicious Monster, Brandon from Facebook. And of course my awesome friends Sean and Kat who rock!
New Years eve was awesome too. Wil kindly invited a bunch of us all round for food and drink at his place. Very tasty food too. And i got to experience Artichokes for the first time. haha. And rocked out on some very nice hams, prawns, and even enjoyed eating some trout! (mischa eating fish1?!? i know!).
Anyway, it’s now officially the future. 2010! Bring it on.
